Comfort Measures: "Active Rest" for Early Labour or with an Epidural (Pillows or Peanut Ball)
These ositions can aid in progressing labour while resting and using gravity and pelvic positioning to your advantage. These are particularly helpful in early labour or when restricted to a bed with an Epidural. Consider switching your position about every 30 minutes.
These positions can be done at home with pillows or at the Birth Centre or hospital with a peanut ball (most Toronto hospitals have peanut balls available for labouring people)
