During labour, especially early labour, we really want birthing people to rest as much as possible.
This video demonstrates some “active” rest positions that will help labour continue to progress while allowing you to conserve energy.
An interesting perspective to keep in mind: if you were to add up the time spent in contractions vs. time spent between contractions - the time spent between is about 75% and only about 25% of the time is spent in contractions ❤️
